Maybe if their is a tameable animal around you that might be what they target since they can't target you. If that happens then you would probably get hit with it since it wasn't targeting you directly. Just a thought.

I don't think monsters target tamable animals for AoE. Unless there was some hidden AI update recently.

Are you sure it isn't Frozen Burst? That one doesn't require a target.

Maybe it's Frozen Burst, not Deep Freeze? You can still be hit with Frozen Burst with VoS.

If its Frozen Burst instead of deep freeze then it could be latency. When your running, you see your self slightly ahead of where you actually are due to latency. So when you think you weren't by the Imps so couldn't have been bit by it. You were probably in fact next to the Imps. Its the same way you get body blocked.

Probably a PBAoE and not Deep Freeze, or lag.

I see...but...every time a spell gets casted on you from an enemy it shows you it, and the deepfreeze picture came up and it said deepfreeze on the side and then i slowed down

Well, maybe you let it wear off for a split second, didn't realize it, and it got thrown on you?

Maybe you thought it was Deep Freeze, but it was really just a passing glance and it was Frozen Burst?

Basically, what everyone is trying to say is, VoS isn't broken, there are many, many, many ways to prove that, so, there must be something you're missing, because no one else has this problem, and there's no way it could be happening.

By the way, put this in General Game Discussion or Game Questions or something, it doesn't belong in Suggestions.
